Condition

Overall in excellent original condition. The silvered bronze surfaces presents with some light surface scratches, minor rubbing and oxidation, consistent with age and gentle handling. The door at the back of the clock is very slightly bent. The glass is likely original and presents with a few minor surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. The marble base is original and presents with a few scattered surface scratches and surface soiling. The piece has retained its four original feet. The clock mechanism appears to be original and untouched. Movement is not guaranteed to run at the time of cataloguing and was not tested for accuracy of time and may need service at the buyers discretion. A remarkable example of Brandt's work, rare to appear at auction.
