Condition

Overall in excellent original condition. When viewed in person, the vase presents with an intricate enameled decoration, slightly less pink overall than seen in the catalogue illustration, with a large range of different colors. The glass with a few minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The enameled and gilt decoration with light wear consistent with age and gentle handling. Both the bottle and the cover are engraved 112, indicating that the cover is original. A great example of a rare and early design by Galle. The Persan rider is slightly different on both sides of the vase, please contact the department for additional photographs.
