Condition

Overall in very good original condition. When viewed in person, the glass presents with an intricate enameled decoration and a large range of subdued colors which beautifully complement the smoked glass. The glass with a few minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The surfaces with minor wear to the enameled and gilt decoration and a few very light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. A minute and old chip to the outside of the upper edge of the vase, measuring less than 1/8 inch and only visible upon close inspection. A rare example of an early design by Galle. The intricate shape complement beautifully the persan decoration. Both sides of the vase present with a slightly different persan rider design.
