Condition

Overall in excellent original condition. When viewed in person, the vase presents with monumental scale and vivid blue and red. The white of the chrysanthemums contrasts beautifully with the smoked glass color. The glass with a few minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The surfaces with a few very light surface scratches and minor wear to the enameled and gilt decoration, consistent with age and gentle use. A rare and important early work by Emile Galle, which displays with extraordinary presence when viewed in person.
