  • signed LALIQUE, with French assay mark
  • carved glass, gold, enamel, diamonds

Provenance

Private Collection, New York, circa 1970s

Condition

Overall in very good condition. The surfaces present with a few minor surface scratches, minute abrasions and very light surface soiling to the recessed areas commensurate with age and gentle use. When examined under black light, the enamel work appears to have been sensitively stabilized at the lower portion. Three of the diamonds appear to have been reset or possibly replaced at some point in the history of the piece. A delicate work by Lalique, displaying his great naturalist sensibility as an Art Nouveau jeweller.
