Condition
Overall good condition. The black painted wood elements with minor surface scratches, abrasions, and scattered slight discolorations, consistent with age and handling. The top panel with a few vertical cracks, not visually distracting. The small wood decoration with minor surface scratches, abrasions, and scattered discolorations. A few decorative wood elements with restoration; one tile within the circular decoration surrounding the upper copper roundel with a small loss. The copper elements are in good condition with minor surface scratches, abrasions, some discolorations, and some light surface dirt to the recessed areas of the design. The vellum with scattered discoloration and areas of wear, particularly to the left vertical side. Some areas of wear reveal the underlying wood panel, which displays with occasional cracks. The right lateral side of the mirror with an area about 3 inches high where the vellum has lifted. The bone decorations are in good condition and all appear original with light surface scratches, minor abrasions, and some slight discolorations. The pewter decoration in good condition with surface scratches and some scattered spots of oxidation. A rare work by Bugatti, the decorative spider pattern complements beautifully the asymmetric shape.
