Condition
Overall very good condition commensurate with age and use. Minor rubbing and oxidation to the copper elements surrounding the top surface, with lifting to one corner. Some of the nails affixing the copper elements are missing. The vellum with repairs, concentrated to the edges on two sides, which shows evidence of colouring in the seams. The lower sections of vellum on one side have been replaced at an earlier time, and there is minor wear to the ink throughout. The roundels with minor scratches and wear. with A few minor elements of pewter have been replaced, and are not visually distracting. Lifting of the pewter stringing concentrated to one roundel. The copper wrapped legs with minor rubbing and oxidation throughout and is loose in some areas, but structurally intact. The lower shelf possessing an older repair through the centre, running across the entirety of the shelf. Some lifting to the pewter and bone elements which is not visually distracting. Various minor scattered scuffs and scratches concentrated to the base of the legs. All together an attractive piece which has been well looked after and retains a firm structure.
