Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the box displays strong yellow with varying nuances of green and touches of dark red. The pate de verre with some air bubbles and minor irregularities inherent in the making and not at all visually disruptive. The surface with a few minor surface scratches and light surface dirt consistent with age and gentle handling. The cover with a minute chip to the end of one leaf, measuring approximately 1/8 x 1/8 inch and only visible upon close inspection. A great example of Berge’s work which epitomizes Walter’s mastery in the technique of pate de verre.
