Condition
Overall in good condition. The wood surfaces have been sensitively refinished and present with some surface dirt, surface scratches and edge abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. The marquetry with some drying to the wood, consistent with the natural ageing. The top with two dark water stains to the lighted color of the marquetry, visible in the catalogue illustration, the largest measuring 4 ½ inches in diameter. The lower tier with smaller water stains. Some visible filler to the seams of construction between the support and the upper top. Please note that the gilt patina handles with wear consistent with age and handling and less shiny than in the catalogue illustration. The reverse of the handles are monogrammed L.M. The bronze surfaces with minor wear and surface dirt to the recessed portions of the design. An iconic design by Louis Majorelle.
