Condition
Overall in very good condition. The catalogue photography was taken with both frontal reflected and interior light. When viewed under standard reflected light conditions the shade is less saturated in coloration, the coloration is more subtle and more orange. The glass with a few minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not at all visually disruptive. The glass surfaces with minor surface scratches and light surface dirt consistent with age and gentle handling. The patinated wrought-iron base presents with minor surface scratches, light rubbing to the patina at the raised portions of the design, minor oxidation and light surface dirt consistent with age and gentle handling. The base is likely associated to the shade. The lamp is currently fitted with a standard US socket and plug and not guaranteed for electricity. The treatment of the shade displays great movement and artistic nuances with three bats represented around the shade in various attitudes.
