Condition
Overall in very good condition showing a variety of green and brown colors to the patinated surfaces throughout which enhance the detailing of the sculpture. The bronze elements present with a few very shallow surface scratches and a few areas of rubbing to the high points of the design, which is to be expected from gentle handling. The gilt portions of the sculpture with a wonderful tone that is even more saturated in color than it appears in the catalogue illustration. The face with a minute scratch to the cheek. The sculpture with elegant details in the highly naturalistic rendering of the figure, which is contrasted by the deeply sculptural background, imparting a wonderful sense of movement.
