Overall in very good condition. The favrile glass shade with some small and minute particulate inclusions, all inherent in the making. There is faint rubbing on the shade exterior just outside the top aperture rim from continued contact over time with the base mount. The shade displays finely articulated wave decoration, and the shade exterior is beautifully iridized, imparting the shade with strong luminous color. When viewed with reflected light, the shade appears a rich butterscotch-amber with silver-blue decoration. The catalogue photograph shows the shade with both reflected and remitted light, and when viewed firsthand the shade is less red. The patinated bronze base displays a rich and vibrant russet brown and green patina, showing gentle rubbing and a few light surface scratches consistent with age and very gentle use. The socket and switch appear original and undisturbed. A lovely and charming example.
