Condition
Overall in good condition. The chairs appear to have been relacquered and the surfaces presents with minor surface scratches, minor abrasions and light surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. The upper edges of the backrests with concentrated wear. The brass foot with minor tarnishing, surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. One chair with two chips to lacquer now showing gesso and bare wood to the proper left backside, at the junction of the backrest, seat and legs, with a horizontal loss measuring ¼ x 1 in. and a vertical loss measuring 1 ½ x ¼ in. This chair is slightly loose. Another chair with two brass upholstery nails lacking. The chairs have been reupholstered and the upholstery presents with some surface scratches, minor abrasions and light surface dirt consistent with gentle use. A very stylish group displaying Urban’s simple yet extremely elegant lines.
