Catalogue Note

Philippe Hiquily produced the first sketches for this desk in 1968-1969 when he was exploring routes for a desk commissioned by M. Van Zuylen. It was only in 2010 that he finally executed this model for the first time. Although originally intended as an edition of 3 and 2 artist's proofs, only the present lot was ever produced.

The present lot has been authenticated by the Hiquily Committee, from which a certificate can be obtained on request.
