Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There are signs of minor flaking to the centre left edge and in the black towards the centre of the composition. There is also a horizontal superficial scratch in the black towards the right edge (as visible in the catalogue illustration). Ultra-violet light reveals areas of old residual varnish and two spots of retouching towards the upper left corner, one stroke in the yellow in the lower left quadrant (patch on the reverse), one stroke towards the centre of the composition and other strokes in the upper right corner. The work is otherwise in good condition and presents very well. The work is ready to hang.
