Condition
The original panel is un-cradled. The work is in good condition and presents very well. Some very light craquelure is visible, notably in the sky, under close inspection. Ultra-violet light reveals an area of retouching in the sky towards the right edge, and some scattered strokes along the extreme framing edges. There is some uneven appearance in the water due to old residual varnish which might suggest a selective cleaning. The work is ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame with a nameplate.
