Purchased at the above sale by the previous owner
Private collection, Germany

Condition

The canvas has not been lined. There is one very small spot of paint loss in the extreme upper left framing edge. Ultra-violet light reveals a few spots of cosmetic retouching in the water in the lower half of the composition, possibly addressing some very old repair (visible on the reverse), and some pin-head sized spots in the duck in the upper right. This work presents very well, is in good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a gilt frame.
