Condition

The canvas is unlined. Ultra-violet light reveals numerous scattered small strokes of retouching, primarily in the background, to the left of the lower edge and just a few to the figure's hair and body, which are minor in extent given the overall size of the painting. This painting is in good condition, presents well and is ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame with floral ornaments.
