Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There is a light dimple in the canvas in the lower right quadrant, which has not affected the paint surface, and some very small spots of paint flaking below the bench in the lower right. However, these appear to be stable. Ultra-violet light reveals a very fine line of retouching to the right of the red skirt. Overall, the picture is in good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
The colours are less red and greener than in the catalogue illustration.
