Condition

The canvas has not been lined. There is a pattern of light craquelure in the sky, slightly more pronounced along the four edges in correspondence to the four stretcher bars. Ultra-violet light reveals areas of uneven fluorescence due to old residual varnish, two small spots of cosmetic retouching, towards the centre of the upper framing edge and the centre of the lower framing edge. The picture is otherwise in good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a simple gilt frame.
