Condition

The canvas has not been lined. Ultra-violet light reveals layers of uneven varnish which make the surface quite difficult to read. However, spots of retouching are visible in the green headed duck to the right, nearer the lower left corner and upper right corner and in other scattered spots. The picture is otherwise in good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a dark wooden frame. Colours are less yellow than in the printed catalogue.
