Condition

The panel is cradled with two batons to its upper and lower edge and is flat, even, and ensuring a stable support. There is a very small spot of paint flaking in the girl's right arm and some tiny scattered spots of surface dirt in the background and in the girl's face, which could likely be removed with a light professional clean if desired. Ultra-violet light reveals no sign of retouching. The picture is otherwise in good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame. Colours are somewhat more yellow in the catalogue illustration than in reality.
