Condition

Wax lined. Under UV: Lines of inpainting to male figure's blue costume, in trees above figures, and in background near center right edge. Inpainting to address frame abrasion along top edge and lower left corner. 2 by 2 inch area of inpainting to lower right corner, visible to the naked eye, and an early engraving of this painting shows this was once the painted figure of a dog.
