Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is veining to the marble throughout, consistent with the material, particularly at the back. There are naturally occurring inclusions, including to the proper left hand and to the proper right wrist. The front arm of the jug is restored. There is a small loss to the tip of the proper right little finger, and also to the knuckle of this and the neighbouring finger. There are some small chips to the edges of the base. There is an abrasion to the proper left big toe and to the tip of the proper left middle finger. There are some further minor abrasions including to the forehead and to the sleeve at the proper left arm. There are scratches to the proper left upper arm at the side and at the shoulder blade.
