Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is some staining to the patina, possibly due to moisture. There is some greening, in particular to the mane. There are a few minor areas of loss to the patina, including to the proper left side of the mouth and to the ears. The modern base is in good condition with minor wear along the edges. The bronze is mounted on the base with metal screws.
