- signed: AL BARYE, inscribed: F BARBEDIENNE / FONDEUR, and stamped with the gold FB, and incised: 43 to the underside
- bronze, dark brown-green patina with mid-brown highlights
Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. A few original casting joints are very slightly visible, including at the legs. There is minor rubbing to the patina at the high points. There are a few small nicks, including to the edges of the wings. There are some very small specks of white paint, including to the proper left side of the head. There is a small area of scratching to the patina to the inside of the proper right wing. There is a minor spot of greening to one of the feathers on the proper left wing.
