Condition
Overall the condition of the marble is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are small naturally occurring inclusions to the marble in several areas, in particular at the front of the composition and including the tops of the wings, Chronos' head, the girl's chest and legs, and the integral socle. Most of the inclusions are filled. There is some very light veining to the marble consistent with the material, notably to the socle at the back. It appears that a wax has been applied to the surface.
