Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some greening in a few areas, including some of the crevices, Cupid's proper right arm, a few spots on his chest, and Psyche's proper left hand and face. An original casting plug is visible at Cupid's proper right lower arm. There are a few minor nicks and scratches, including to Cupid's pillow. There is some minor dark spotting or staining in a few areas, including to Psyche's proper left buttock. The marble base is composed in sections and joints are slightly visible. There are a few minor chips and abrasions to the edges and corners. There is some wear to the metal mount, and it is slightly loose at the front right corner.
