Condition

In overall good original condition with typical signs of old marks and scratches throughout commensurate with age and use. One of the interior inlaid ivory masks to the top has some minor losses and discolouration. The baluster legs have faded in areas and the ebonised decoration could be enhanced according to taste. Two of the four have notable signs of wear including chips and minor losses. The stretcher could benefit form a clean according to taste and has one small chip.

Catalogue Note

A centre table with an elaborate gilt bronze base and supporting the exact same table top outline and engraved ivory inlaid border is in the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris (Inv. 27903).
