Catalogue Note
These quick studies, from life, of a young boy drawn while firing a bow, are related to a number of similar studies dated between 1908 and 1911. Two of these, one dated to 1908, and are now in the Museum of Capodimonte, Naples (inv. nos. GDS2633 and GDS2935), were formerly in the Minozzi collection.1 Very interesting are the autograph inscriptions indicating a sequence in the execution of each sheets: primo istantaneo etc., almost like a photographic record, capturing the sense of movement and evolution in the pose.
