Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There are some minor scattered fainted lines of craquelure. Ultra-violet light reveals a few very small spots of retouching in the figure's face and a number of small spots in the background; in some areas traces of old residual varnish fluoresce making the surface somewhat difficult to read notably towards the lower right corner however this does not appear to correspond to further retouching. This work is in good overall condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
