The works has survived in good condition. The colours remain strong and close to their original tones. The work has not been examined out of its frame.

Catalogue Note
The village of Ockham lies to the south of London, close to Guildford, the market town where Shepheard was born. Shepheard was a successful landscape painter in watercolour and anĀ engraver. He studied at the Royal Academy Schools between 1786 and 1790 and exhibited there from 1811 until his death.
