- A: Pen and brown and ink and grey wash over black chalk, the background tinted a sand colour, within double brown ink framing lines;
inscribed in pen and brown ink, lower centre: SALZIERA
B: Pen and brown ink and grey wash over black chalk;
inscribed in pen and brown ink, lower centre: Scala di Palmo uno Romano and inscribed within the designs for the base and the upper candlestick holder: Pianta del Piede and Pianta della Padellina di sopra and attached upper right with red wax, on a separate piece of paper, is an original receipt, inscribed: Candelière di Peso-d.g 1/2 / L'uno /Fattura il Pave (?) ?=05=
Condition
A:Hinged to mount at upper margin. In very good condition. The brown ink has bled slightly around the edges. Pen and ink and wash fresh and vibrant.
Sold in a decorative gilded frame.
B: Hinged to mount at upper margin. In fairly good condition. Separate piece of paper attached with red wax in upper right corner. Few creases at the lower margin. A few light brown stains. Pen and ink and wash strong and vibrant.
Sold in a modern dark wood frame.
