  • A vase-shaped ewer and an oval basin, decorated with ribbon-tied festoons and beaded borders
  • Pen and brown ink and grey wash over black chalk, the background tinted a pale sand colour, within double pen and brown ink framing lines; the top of the vase cut out and silhouetted against the album page

Condition

Laid down. Overall in good condition. Some light staining at the left margin and also in the upper right corner. Pen and ink and wash remain strong and vibrant.
