This and the subsequent study (Max Missing! Max Found! - lot 20) are concept drawings from Sendak's collaboration with Sony Metreon San Francisco. This collaboration culminated in June, 1999 in with the opening of an interactive Where The Wild Things Are play area, and In the Night Kitchen themed restaurant.
