Condition

Canvas has been relined. Craquelure is visible throughout but paint layer is stable. Picture is clearly dirty underneath the discolored old varnish. Ultraviolet light reveals this dirty old milky varnish and no retouches are visible underneath. A light cleaning would certainly brighten the picture and improve the overall appearance of the painting. In a carved giltwood frame.
