The Breguet Tradition Fusee Tourbillon, ref. 7047BR, was introduced in 2012 took the Tradition line to new heights with the inclusion of a prominent, oversized tourbillon carriage and a pocket watch inspired fusee and chain power source.  The tourbillon cage, constructed of titanium, makes one revolution per minute and is completed by a silicon balance. The fusee-chain decreases variations in time-keeping by releasing power in a constant stream. The fusee has been used since the mid-16th century, and has recently been incorporated by modern watch brands in wristwatches, and the present lot is a beautiful utilization of this technology.
