Condition

Please note that the movement has not been checked for timekeeping accuracy and Sotheby's will not be held responsible for any repairs should they be required. The movement is working at the time of cataloguing but would benefit from a service as it is not possible to wind by the crown and the power reserve indicator doesn't seem to operate. The moon-phases function appears operational. The dial and hands in good condition. Case with the usual scuffs throughout, heavily scuffed to the back. The strap is worn. Very elegant and attractive watch that needs a bit of care.

Catalogue Note

This lot is a refine example of the Breguet's Reine de Naples collection and is both an attractive watch and a feminine piece of jewellery.
The collection pays tribute to an early wristwatch created by Abraham-Louis Breguet for Caroline, Queen of Naples and Bonaparte's sister.
