Condition

Please note that the movement has not been checked for timekeeping accuracy and Sotheby's will not be held responsible for any repairs should they be required. The movement is working at the time of cataloguing and the chronograph and calendar functions appear operational. The dial and hands in perfect condition. Case with the usual scuffs throughout, one scratch to the left band of the case. Overall in very good condition. Nice example of a modern chronograph and calendar by Patek Philippe, fresh to the market.

Catalogue Note

Ref. 5960 was Patek Philippe's first self-winding chronograph with an annual calendar. Originally released in 2006, the watch earned instant symbolic status. The present lot is one of the very first examples in stainless steel to appear at auction.
