Condition
Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its time keeping and therefore a service should be carried out in the near future at the buyer's expense.
The movement is running at the time of cataloguing and the date is advancing. The indexes to the dial are discoloured and no longer luminous, the hour hand appears to have been retouched and the 24 hour hand is faded and discoloured. Case and bracelet with scuffs throughout, bezel has been re-polished.

Catalogue Note
Reference 1655, was launched by Rolex in 1971 until 1984. It is known to collectors as the 'Steve McQueen'. This name derives from the actor's status as an icon of style at the time of the watch's production. It is also called 'Freccione' as a short form for 'Orange hand'.
