Overall in very good condition. The gilt bronze surfaces throughout display a rich patina, showing gentle rubbing, a few scattered light surface scratches, and light surface soiling to some of the recessed contours of the design consistent with age and gentle use. The bronze surfaces with a few small and minor areas of discoloration. The inset favrile glass appears original and undisturbed and displays a rich palette of yellow, orange and warm caramel colored hues. The backplate to the reverse with a few areas of minor discoloration and scattered surface scratches. The backplate appears to retain the original easel stand and associated hardware. The clear glass front appears to have been hand-cut and the edges are slightly irregular with minor roughness to the touch. The clear glass with scattered shallow surface scratches and minute edge chips throughout, none of which are visible once the glass is installed in the frame. This frame was shown in the printed catalogue inset with a family photograph. This frame is sold with a vintage photograph bearing the stamp of Albert de Lemos, Bridgeport, CT. Please contact the department for a photograph of this work installed in the exhibition with the vintage photograph. A very elegant frame displaying impressive scale and finely articulated decoration.
