Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with only one visible tight hairline crack to the glass tiles. The shade interior with isolated rubbing and minor losses to the gilt finish. All of the favrile glass cabochons on the base appear intact and original, with very gentle surface wear. The gilt bronze base displays exceptional casting and radiance, which is further enhanced by the original darkening of the recessed contours of the design. With gentle rubbing to the patina and light surface soiling to the recessed contours consistent with age and gentle use. The upper riser and socket cluster showing light surface wear, surface soiling and minor discolorations. The sockets, paddle switches and matching gilt finial all appear to be original and undisturbed. A fine example of this luxurious and highly desirable desk lamp model displaying a highly-saturated jewel-like color palette. When viewed firsthand the coloration of the glass is far more vivid and luminous than seen in the catalogue illustration, which is slightly over lit.
