Condition

Overall in very good condition. This is an assembled set and therefore there is a slight variation in patinas across the set. The bronze surfaces show gentle rubbing, concentrated minor areas of discoloration and light surface dirt to some of the recessed contours, consistent with age and gentle use. The glass cabochons display richly saturated coloration, that is more vivid when viewed firsthand in comparison to the catalogue illustration. All the cabochons appear original and undisturbed. The stamp box with a minor chip to the cabochon to the proper lower right side. The note pad with two remaining pieces of original paper. Two inkstands retain their original glass liner, one of which maintains traces of ink residue. The large inkwell with oxidation to the interior of the lid and with discoloration from ink and minor oxidation surrounding the inkwell perimeter. A rare opportunity to acquire a large number of this highly sculptural desk set pattern.
