Condition

Overall in very good condition. The gilt bronze surfaces throughout retain a rich patina, showing gentle rubbing, a few scattered light surface scratches and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The bronze surfaces with a few small and minor areas of discoloration that appear consistent with age and use, as seen in the catalogue illustration. All of the blue favrile glass tiles appear original and undisturbed. The small glass tile at the lower proper left corner with a minor stable crack at the immediate corner, only visible on close inspection. All of the tiles are beautifully iridized on the exterior, and when viewed with exterior reflected light display strong luminous color with a range of brilliant jewel-tone hues. The reverse with a few areas of minor discoloration, scattered surface scratches and areas of light rubbing to the patina along the lower edge adjacent to the easel stand. The reverse appears to retain the original easel stand and associated hardware. The glass front can be removed through the opening at the top of the backplate. The glass front with scattered minute edge chips throughout, none of which are visible once the glass is installed in the frame. This frame present beautifully in person, displaying particularly strong luminous coloration to the glass portions of the frame.
