Overall in very good condition. The gilt bronze surfaces throughout retain a rich patina, showing gentle rubbing, a few scattered light surface scratches and light surface soiling to some of the recessed contours of the design consistent with age and gentle use. The bronze surfaces with a few small and minor areas of discoloration that appears consistent with age and use. The enamel portion of the decorative scheme displays more saturated blue tones when viewed firsthand in comparison to the catalogue illustration. The delicate enamelwork adds wonderful depth to the intricately detailed border. The enamel with evidence of light rubbing and minor losses consistent with age and gentle handling. The bottom band of decorative scheme, with a few minor spots of a rich russet red enamel. The reverse with a few areas of minor discoloration, scattered surface scratches and areas of light rubbing to the patina along the lower edge adjacent to the easel stand. The reverse appears to retain the original easel stand, sliding back plate and associated hardware. The glass front with scattered minute edge chips throughout, none of which are visible once the glass is installed in the frame. A rare and elegant form displaying impressive scale, vivid coloration and exquisite sculptural detail to the decorative border.
