Condition

Overall in very good condition. The pewter presents a rich and deep coloration when viewed in person, wonderfully in contrast to the copper dial and the highly saturated colors of the enamelwork. The pewter with light surface scratches, some tarnishing to the recessed areas and a few minor edge nicks. The copper face with minor oxidation, and a few minute areas of color variation likely due to cleaning. Minor polishing residue around central dial and encircling the enameled medallions. Six enamel medallions with sensitively executed professional restoration executed in a manner consistent with the original deign. One of the clock hands is slightly bent, and one of the pins has been replaced. The reverse with a hinged door containing a single winged key. The door of the reverse with some adhesive residue to the exterior and a shallow dent at the proper right side. Movement is not guaranteed to run at the time of cataloging and was not tested for accuracy of time and may need service at the buyerÂ’s discretion. A rare circular form and particularly dynamic design.
