Purchased directly from the artist by Miss Mabel Howell of Cardiff and thence by descent to the present owner

Condition

Original canvas. There are some spots of paint loss in the upper corners and lower left corner relating to canvas pin holes. The surface appears dirty and should benefit from a light surface clean; otherwise the work appears in good overall condition with rich impastoed surface. Ultraviolet light reveals no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a silver composite frame.
