Condition

STRUCTURE The picture is unlined and in good condition. There are areas of fine craquelure in the sky but the paint surface appears stable. The picture should benefit from cleaning and re-varnishing. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There is a vertical line of retouching close to the head of the sheep third from the left and another small area of retouching to the sky close to the horizon at the extreme right edge. There are a few other very minor retouchings. FRAME Contained in a moulded sweep frame.
