Description

  • gilt bronze, wood and paulownia wood
one cast standing on a domed lotus base, the right arm raised and the left arm lowered, wearing long robes falling into neat pleats, the hair piled up into a chignon, wood stand and Japanese wood box, the other similarly decorated and fitted with a wood stand

Condition

Both figures have light pitting to the surface due to burial, the larger figure with small areas of malachite encrustation and both have scratches and loss to the gilded decoration.
