Condition

The x-ray reveals that the dagger is in good overall condition. There are minor losses to both sides of the rim towards the tip of the blade (visible in the catalogue illustration). The bronze is patinated to a light green tone, smoothly polished. The colour is slightly darker than the catalogue illustration suggests. The inventory number D.W. 35.73 is inscribed in white just below the top of the handle on one side.
